Global Day for Darfur

Today marks the 5th year anniversary of the humanitarian crisis in Darfur in the western part of the Sudan region. It’s tragic and terrible that children who are turning five today know nothing about life except violence. People from all over the world are marking the five year anniversary by participating in protests which are being organized by human rights groups that include Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the Save Darfur Coalition. Human Rights Watch has posted an article about the genocide that is taking place. If you would like to educate yourself on what is happening in that region or would like to donate money to help this cause, please visit Save Darfur. If you would like to participate in an event today, please visit Globe for Darfur to view the closest even in your area. We must put an end to this crisis!
