The Final Frontier

I learned recently that after ending a sentence with any punctuation, starting the next sentence only requires one space rather than two spaces. According to Daily Writing Tips, the convention of using two spaces after ending a sentence with punctuation applies to typewriters only. Now with computers becoming more prevalent, and typewriters becoming archaic, it’s only necessary to use one.

I hate this rule.tap tap I have been taught to use two spaces after a period since ninth grade English class and asking me to change my habit now is a bit too late. tap tap I can’t change something that is embedded in me for 13 years.tap tap Do you know how many papers I have written with two spaces?tap tap I hate English people and their writing rules.
