Our misanthropic friends who run the military government of Burma are up to their wonderful ways once again. This time they are extending their hospitality towards United States citizens.
Amnesty International has reported since his September 3rd arrest, Kaw Zaw Lwin has “suffered torture and ill-treatment while in detention” while being “denied medical treatment for the injuries he sustained from the torture he endured during interrogation.” In addition to his mistreatment, he has also been “deprived food for seven days.”
Here’s a recent checklist of the Burmese government’s meritorious accomplishments:
1. Repressing/abusing the Chin people of Burma.
2. Increasing the number of arrests on political activists.
3. Putting the leader of the democratic party under house arrest for the past 13 of 20 years.
4. Obstructing relief efforts to help victims of Cyclone Nargis.
