A few days ago, I posted an entry regarding how cell phone companies will not release donations to Haiti relief efforts made via text messages until customers pay their bills. Yesterday, I received an email from Maria, who is the Outreach & Communications Coordinator at Change.org.
She informed me that Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile have agreed to release the money upfront. There is currently a petition on Change’s website urging AT&T to follow suit. The money is very important to relief efforts, so please sign the petition. It only takes a minute!
