The Catcher’s Last Rye

Jerome David Salinger shied away from the spotlight, never seeking attention. He kept to himself, and with his sudden passing, many will never know any details about this reclusive author.

His love for writing was both a blessing and a curse. It brought him unwanted fame that he never sought; he only wanted to write. His legacy will always be that of The Catcher in the Rye. Holden Caulfied will forever be the symbol of teen angst, and for so many someone to whom they can relate.

And with that, I also bid adieu to Mr. Salinger. R.I.P.
