Setting a High Bar on Poverty

Now that the 2010 Winter Olympics have come to an end, Canadians want the world to know that Vancouver has set the bar high for future Olympic host cities.

One thing remains to be seen though. Just exacly how high of a bar did Vancouver set in terms of taking away basic city services for homeless and poor residents in order to subsidize the games? To answer that question, we turn to Democracy Now, which has a special documentary regarding this issue. Since I have problems embedding non-youtube videos on my blog, click here to view the documentary.
