Yes, We Agree

Chevron is none too happy about the Yes Men’s hoax of creating a fake website of their “We Agree” campaign.

“We expected something like this would be done,” Chevron spokesman Morgan Crinklaw told the Times, because “there are activist groups whose sole focus is attacking Chevron and not engaging in rational conversations on energy issues.”

Okay, so Chevron wants to have rational conversations on energy issues. But what about rational conversations on environmental problems such as cleaning up messes Big Oil has created or putting safety first or putting to end on endangering lives? Yes, I can certainly agree to that.

    again.. soon Chevron will own the internet and possibly the act of conversation itself. Then Chevron will be able to censor everything, and silence whomever they wish.
