Baking with a Heterodox

My friend, Xuan, who is a Phd student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as well as an adjunct professor at Rockhurst University, was recently married and shared her touching story about how she prepared several cakes for her own wedding. You can read her letter to Andrea Nguyen here that provides full details.

Xuan’s story is beautiful because her love for her husband brought out the baker in her that she never knew existed. It also shows that her love for her husband transcends the Veblenian dichotomy.

The pictures of the cake look amazing, and I hope I have the pleasure of trying one of her creations in the near future! Congratulations to Dino and Xuan!
