That’s What She Said

It appears as if natural language in computers has made a giant leap forward. Two computer scientists have created “a computer program that knows when to say ‘That’s what she said’ in response to a double entendre.”

The DEviaNT program is about 72% successful at understanding when to use the phrase “That’s what she said.” You can read the paper here.

First Watson conquers Ken and Brad. Now we can count on computers chiming in at the right moment–at least 72% of the time–whenever someone says, “I was up all night doing lunges.”
