Making the Grades

I was reading this article here and was wondering why the restaurants that received lower grades are not displaying their health-inspection grades or displaying them in hard-to-spot areas in the restaurant. Sure, there is the reason it might drive off new customers from trying the restaurants that received low grades; especially customers who are conscious when it comes to how their meals are prepared. But if the low grades don’t really affect business at all–at least according to some of the restaurants–then why risk the $1,000 fine? Interestingly enough, there are some restaurants that received A grades, yet are refusing to display signs with their grades, resulting in the $1,000 in fine.
